From an early age, I have had a passion for storytelling. After graduating from UMass Dartmouth with a BFA in Graphic Design I took work as a designer in the Boston area. My jobs ranged from binding hardcover books to creating high end marketing material for fortune 100 companies. During this period I realized how vast the visual communications field is. I also realized how diverse my interests were. I knew that in order to move my career forward I would need to surround myself with like minded passionate creatives.
I made the decision in 2011 to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts at Emerson College in Boston. While at Emerson I was able to experiment and produce work that developed me into the creative professional I am today. I studied production, directing, screenwriting and experimented with fictional and nonfictional narratives. My thesis was a twenty-five minute fictional short which I wrote and directed.
I am a well rounded media maker with an ability to communicate compelling human stories that encourage audiences to think and consider the world outside their own existence. Experience in print and web design along with knowledge of the video and film production process has brought me to the understanding that various mediums are simply the vehicles through which to convey a narrative. I have the ability to direct and manage projects, but what sets me apart is my ability to keep a project true to its larger purpose - the story it shares and what that story will evoke from an audience.
